1.3 Task 1

In this task you will conduct a simple stress test for a region of your choice. Doing so, you will gain insights into the vulnerabilities of the region within the context of climate change. The region may be the one where you currently reside, or a different region that interests you.

The test should focus on one of the following types of vulnerability:

  • Waterlogging
  • Drought
  • Heat
  • Flooding

You are invited to present the results in a short report. The following sources may be useful for your analysis:

This viewer is designed to give 2 Seas Region stakeholders insight in the effects of modelled sea level rise and the changing shoreline profile. Other tools (the impact of buildings on dunes and the health of marram grass) can be found at the ENDURE website.

This portal is similar to the application used in the Netherlands, and allows for analysis of different kinds of impacts in specific locations within Flanders.
